April 24, 2025 – Longtime friends and collaborators Flume and JPEGMAFIA got in the studio last year and laid down “Track 1“ in one of their first takes. Today, a seven minute animated video was released, which you can watch here.

The video, created by James Blagden, features a fantastic version of the studio session that birthed “Track 1,” in which each instrumental Flume plays alters the physical world—pulling JPEG inside out, making him a fly, turning him into an enormous clown—before the final beat takes them on an odyssey through time and space.

“Track 1” is Grammy-winning artist, producer and songwriter Flume’s first release since 2023. Alongside the multi-talented experimental rapper, producer, performer and leader in the experimental rap scene, the track marks JPEGMAFIA’s newest release post his massively acclaimed album, I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU.
