After a six-year hiatus from solo music, Jon Bellion is back—and he’s diving deep. The GRAMMY-nominated artist just announced his long-awaited new album, Father Figure, set to release on June 6. Pre-order it HERE. The news first dropped via email to fans on The Beautiful Mind Club Forum on April 14, and it didn’t take long to make waves. Within days, over 12,000 fans had pre-saved the album (myself included).
Along with the announcement, Bellion gave us a taste of what’s to come with the new single “Horoscope,” featuring the legendary Pharrell Williams. Listen HERE. The track starts as a soft, piano-led ballad before blooming into a mix of synths and saxophone, with Pharrell’s classic touch layered in. “Horoscope” is a heartfelt tribute to Jon’s wife, doubling as both a love letter and a promise that he’ll always be there for her, no matter how far his dreams take him.
Jon on “Horoscope:” “Horoscope’ is my thank you to my wife. I’m saying, hey, if you need me now, I will come back for you. Thank you for letting me do this. You’re the reason I’ve even made it this far. If you need anything, you don’t even need to say anything, I’ll read you like a horoscope. I’ll come right back home and set flame to all of it. You mean everything to me, but thank you for letting me chase my dream and get my dreams out, and thank you for holding it down for me. It’s me saying goodbye to my wife at four in the morning: ‘I’m gonna go out into the world, and if you need anything, you come first over everything.”
Father Figure is Bellion’s most personal work yet, exploring the raw, complicated, and beautiful sides of modern-day fatherhood. Through lyrics that balance pride, vulnerability, and reflection, he opens a window into his life as a new dad and partner—only this time, he holds nothing back.
Staying true to his fan-first approach, Jon teased the Pharrell collab on his fan forum 72 hours before the track officially dropped. This has been an ongoing trend, with exclusive content, surprise drops, and direct fan interaction before anything gets announced publicly. With over 110,000 fans part of The Beautiful Mind Club, they’ve racked up more than 28,000 downloads of exclusive content from Bellion.
Jon Bellion on his fans: “I really want to serve those who have been there with me and those who are already there. I walked away from everything at the peak of my career. We had an actual fan base that came out to shows, and now I feel a personalness to them. I want to give back to them. If new people come to the table, that’s great, the music is incredible. But I think it’s more about servicing the people who are ready to support because that’s what this is all about.”
The new single “Horoscope” follows the release of the incredible song “Wash,” a powerful single that introduced Bellion’s solo comeback last month. The song, paired with a stunning music video shot in Iceland, premiered to his fan club two days before its public debut. He also dropped “Kid Again” on the same day—a nostalgic, feel-good track that’s already collected over 9 million streams.
Bellion’s return to solo music comes after years spent behind the scenes writing and producing for some of the biggest names in the industry, including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Eminem, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, and many more. He also launched his own label, Beautiful Mind Records, in 2019, signing impactful artists like Tori Kelly and the genre-blending duo Lawrence.
Now, after reclaiming control of his contract and redefining creative freedom, Bellion is stepping into a new era—one that’s older, wiser, and more honest than ever. If the last few singles are any indication, the best is yet to come.
