AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL TO DELIVER SPECIAL PROCLAMATION ON SATURDAY, APRIL 26
Presentations to honor the 50th Anniversary of Antone’s Nightclub, with City Councilman presenting Saturday, April 26, and Texas Music Office presenting Sunday, April 27, both before Allstar Jams
WHO & WHAT: A certificate of recognition from The State of Texas, signed by the Governor, will be presented to Antone’s Nightclub on Sunday, April 27 in honor of the venue’s 50th Anniversary, its enduring contribution to the preservation of Texas’ musical heritage, and the enrichment of the state’s vibrant music scene. The Texas Music Office (TMO) Director, Chip Adams, will host the presentation on stage at Austin Blues Festival, right before Sunday night’s Allstar Jam hosted by Jimmie Vaughan, Gary Clark Jr. & Friends.
Austin City Council Member Zohaib “Zo” Qadri of District 9 will also deliver a special proclamation on behalf of the city during Austin Blues Festival on Saturday, April 26 to honor the 50th Anniversary of Antone’s and its place as a cultural touchstone of Austin and beyond.
WHEN & WHERE: The Texas Music Office certificate presentation will take place on Sunday, April 27 before the 9:00 p.m. Allstar Jam.
Council Member Qadri’s proclamation for the City of Austin will be presented on Saturday, April 26 before the 6:15 p.m. Allstar Jam.
