Trixie Mattel is outdoing herself once again. The drag icon, known for her celebrated take on country music, her wildly successful cosmetics brand, and hundreds of hours of award-winning web content, has now made her mark on none other than Coachella. This moment is a groundbreaking step for drag artists in uncharted territory.
Last Saturday, during Coachella Weekend 1, the pop culture powerhouse brought her Solid Pink Disco live DJ tour to the desert, lighting up The Do Lab stage.
Complementing her sparkling mix of pop anthems, Trixie welcomed fellow LGBTQ+ trailblazer, VINCINT, to the stage for a live debut of their brand new collaborative cover of RuPaul’s iconic hit “Supermodel.”
While Trixie’s Coachella performance served icon energy from start to finish, it also carried a deeper significance. As Elle Magazine put it: “It’s still rare to have a queer artist perform at an event like this, let alone on a stage of this scale dedicated to dance music. Mattel’s presence serves as an important mark of representation.”

You can also catch Trixie on the road this May as her “Solid Pink Disco Tour” hits North America, with stops in cities like Montreal, Denver, Los Angeles, Oakland, and even Chicago. Grab your tickets HERE.
