The song spotlights frontman Matt Quinn’s earnest vocals. With lyrics such as, “Hold on now ’cause we’ve still got time, honey. It’s 4 a.m. and we’re laughin’ in the gas station. Joy tells throughout the song.

Now, as they prepare to release Hope We Have Fun, Mt. Joy is launching into their most ambitious live chapter yet: an extensive 2025 headline tour that will see them playing to arena-sized crowds across the U.S. and Europe, as well as major festival slots including Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, and a coveted headlining set at Newport Folk Festival.
