Heart Attack Man! provided me an advance listen of their latest album, Joyride The Pale Horse. The band is from Cleveland, Ohio. They are an American pop-punk rock band with three full albums from 2013 to the present, with my favorite being Fake Blood. The members are Eric Egan (vocals and guitar), Adam Palunch (drums), and Ty Sickels (guitar).

Heart Attack Man! is known for their strong and energetic live performances, with influences drawn from grunge, metal, and punk influences. The new album Joyride The Pale Horse has 12 energetic songs. Each one catchier than the one before. As a Heart Attack Man! fan, I’m thrilled to give you this album review. This album has everything for old and new fans to relate to. The lyrics reflect personal experiences and societal issues. The melody, rhythm, and instruments contribute to the message conveyed in the lyrics. I feel like, as a society, “Spit” resonates with us all. I’m excited to see how the song will be received by the audience.
The songs focus on having imposter syndrome, being at the end of a gun, spitting in the face of humanity and barely hanging on. Also, going through the emotions of your life, suffering in silence, answering the call of the void, not being able to slow down and give me one more reason, the sentiment of “I don’t want to be here” protrudes the album. Mr. Perfect not being perfect, never thinking you would make it to the ending yet still resolving on a high note while going out with a bang. My favorites are “One More Sing,” “Spit,” “One Good Reason,” and “The Gallows.”
This album is truly remarkable. It has such talented music and well-written and relatable lyrics. The pop-punk tunes feel a lot like their prior albums. Fans will easily fall in love with this album as they have the previous ones. Thoughtz & Prayerz grew darker, while Freak of Nature was more self-analyzing. Joyride The Pale Horse is laid back but invites listeners to look inward on their life.
Heart Attack Man! is currently on a U.S. and Toronto tour, with special guests such as The Dirty Nil, Carpool, and Dear Seattle. I will be seeing them in Greenville, SC. Make sure you buy your tickets for this phenomenal lineup!
