An evening with Testament — Here’s to 35 years of practice what you preach ?

Thrashers, unite: Testament is hitting the road to celebrate 35 years of Practice What You Preach this spring, starting April 30 in Tucson, Arizona. The tour will stop in select cities across the U.S., and it’s not going to be just any other experience.

“An Evening with Testament” features more than just music. This celebration is to highlight one of their biggest milestones, so, of course, it’s got to be extra special for both the band and the fans!

Come for a chance to hear some deep cuts, stories, acoustic versions, and get your hands on merch that may never be available again. Who knows? All I know: it’s going to be a night to remember.

I was first introduced to Testament last year when they played at Milwaukee Metal Fest at The Rave/Eagles Club. That weekend alone was such a cool weekend, and unlike anything I’ve ever attended. Since then, I’ve been diving deeper into metal, seeing several other metal bands at my time working for The Rave. It’s truly expanded some of my music tastes —even though I’m primarily a 100% true pop punk fan. Metal is slowly winning over my heart, one band at a time — Testament was one of them.

I am super excited for this show to come to my area in May. It sounds like it’ll be a super cool event that transforms their decades long legacy into an intimate storytelling session. I’m all for experiencing more than music at a show sometimes—it’s such a fun extra moment to hear a story or two about how a band wrote their music. I love knowing the history behind how the music came to life and what or who inspired them. Also, I’m a big sucker for acoustic versions of any songs—I love a good acoustic session.

“An Evening with Testament” kicks off in three weeks, check out their tour poster below to find out where they’re playing near you! Don’t miss out!?
