Sink Your Teeth into Neon Trees’ tour debut

On Monday, alt-rock band Neon Trees took to the stage at Newport Music Hall for the first stop of their latest tour. The band recently released their newest album, Sink Your Teeth, back in September of 2024, and they are now celebrating the release with a tour under the same name. Supporting the band during the first half of the tour is The Tisburys, who opened the night playing a list of unreleased songs from their upcoming album A Still Life Revisited.

When the house lights turn off, an unmatched energy filled the venue. The crowd went absolutely wild at the sight of their favorite band walking out on stage and greeting everyone with smiles. The audience was on their toes in anticipation for lead singer Tyler Glenn to come rushing out onto the stage, ready to sing, and, in close pursuit, came Glenn, bubbling over with energy. The audience exploded in cheers, screaming and jumping like no one was watching as the show officially began.

Opening with “Losing My Head” from their newest album, the band quickly proved that this concert would be one for the books. They continued to play hits such as “Animal” and “Lessons in Love (All Day, All Night),” before playing a cover of The Human League’s song “Don’t You Want Me.” Once they finished up with the cover, the band announced that the next song, “Paper Cuts,” would be a live debut! That wasn’t the end though—they followed it up with more crowd favorites, such as “Bad Dreams,” where the band broke out into Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan halfway though. They closed out the spectacular night with their 2012 smash hit, “Everybody Talks.

Neon Trees is fronted by Tyler Glenn, Elaine Bradley on drums, Chris Allen on lead guitar, Denney Fuller currently on bass guitar, and David Charles as the touring rhythm guitar.
