In just over a month, renowned metal band Ice Nine Kills is kicking off their U.S. headlining tour, “The Silver Scream-A-Thon.” Ice Nine Kills is best known for their theatrical performances, incorporating beloved horror movie elements into their production, including cinematic videos, graphic novels, true crime mockumentaries, and even an annual convention. This tour, presented by Live Nation, will have two stops in each city–each show dedicated to “The Silver Scream” and “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood,” two sensational albums being played in full on respective nights.
In early March, openers were announced for the tour. The first night of each show will feature The Word Alive, The Funeral Portrait, and Melrose Avenue, while the second night will feature Hail The Sun, TX2, and Dark Divine. In addition to this, Ice Nine Kills is hopping on a few dates with legendary group Metallica to perform at stadiums.
Fans, dubbed “Psychos,” will get to see their favorite band pay homage to horror icons like Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Chucky, Pennywise, Patrick Bateman, as well as original characters like The Silence.
Back in January, Ice Nine Kills raised over $100,000 and counting for victims of the California Wildfires with an exclusive t-shirt, with 100% of the proceeds going to the California Fire Foundation Wildfire and Disaster Relief Fund. Frontman Spencer Charnas, who was personally affected by the wildfires, shared, “”The band began on the East Coast, but we consider Los Angeles our second home. Most of us live in California, and like many people here, we felt powerless as we watched the devastation unfold. However, our global community of supporters and friends is strong. We knew that if we called on them for help, they would rise to the occasion, and they have. We are proud to stand alongside other musicians, creatives, and workers in our industry to support the ongoing relief efforts in any way we can.”
Ice Nine Kills absolutely excels when it comes to putting on a show, including meaningful band-fan connections, immersive live shows, and a growing library of lore and artistry.
