IT’S HOTBOX SEASON! The DREAMBOY era is upon us—Lil Nas X is back with a new steamy single.
Produced by frequent collaborators Take A Day Trip, “HOTBOX” marks the official beginning of Nas’ DREAMBOY era. The single arrives accompanied by a music video, featuring a pink swimming pool, lovers battling it out in a boxing ring, and a groovy pink robot.
I have been a MASSIVE fan of Lil Nas X since he first emerged in the scene. With “HOTBOX,” it’s clear Nas is stepping into his true, authentic form. This track screams confidence—every second is dazzled with bars about believing in yourself and letting loose. Alternating between smooth vocal melodies and quick, punchy flows, I believe anyone could find a home within this song.
“HOTBOX” also doesn’t come alone… she’s brought friends. Nas has been on a release spree with tracks including “RIGHT THERE,” “BIG DUMMY,” “SWISH,” and “DREAMBOY.” All these songs hold their own (especially “RIGHT THERE,” my personal favorite of the bunch), and we HIGHLY recommend giving each a listen.
“HOTBOX” has been stuck in my head ever since its release, we guarantee it will get stuck in yours too.
