Hot Milk announce new album “Corporation P.O.P” – out 6/27

English pop-punk band Hot Milk are heading for a hot year (pun intended) with their sophomore album, Corporation P.O.P., set for release on June 27, 2025, via Music For Nations.

Produced by Jim Shaw, Zack Jones, and KJ Strock, the album is described as the band’s heaviest record to date, complete with hard-hitting lyrics and even harder instrumentals. According to producer and Hot Milk guitarist Jim Shaw, Corporation P.O.P serves as a method of providing social commentary on the current state of the world, with humor woven throughout to add some light within all the darkness.

Corporation P.O.P is a flurry of thoughts, feelings, ramblings from the afters and questions about where we’re at right now in England, the further western world and emotionally,” Shaw said. “It’s hard not to compare, contrast, and try to understand. P.O.P = Payment of Pain. We all must live with the burden of modernity and this pain has been commodified; we all must pay.”

Along with the album announcement, Hot Milk has also released the music video for the album’s first single, “90 Seconds to Midnight.” According to lead singer Han Mee, this frantic, chaotic track was made to sound like you’re preparing for the inevitable doomsday.

“We wanted to punch you proper in the face with this, this balls to the wall little riffy boy comes bounding at you relentlessly,” Mee said. “Lyrically, we took inspiration from 17th century philosopher Rousseau and the poet John Betjemen with his poem ‘Slough.’  Rousseau set out that humanity would never be free as we create our own shackles. In this case, we’ve created our own demise. Where as Betjemens poem takes this notion of demise and laughs at it, inviting the nukes in ‘come friendly bombs’…. Let’s set the gaff on fire and start again.”

In support of the new album, Hot Milk have also announced a series of shows across the U.S. and U.K., including a U.S. tour this spring, opening for Florida-based pop-punk band Magnolia Park.
