For Toronto-based punk band PUP, 2025 is gearing up to be an exciting year for both the group and fans alike. PUP has announced their fifth full-length album, Who Will Look After The Dogs?, set for release on May 2, 2025, through Little Dipper and Rise Records.
The full tracklist for the album includes:
- No Hope
- Olive Garden
- Concrete
- Get Dumber
- Hunger For Death
- Needed To Hear It
- Paranoid
- Falling Outta Love
- Hallways
- Cruel
- Best Revenge
- Shut Up
Along with the album announcement, PUP has also released the music video for their latest single, “Hallways.” According to lead singer Stefan Babcock, songs like “Hallways” were written as away to reflect on his relationship—with romantic partners, friends, and himself—during a darker period in his personal life.
“The title of our new record Who Will Look After The Dogs? is what I wrote at the top of the page, the very first thing written for this album,” Babcock said. “I think it’s devastating, but in a ‘holy shit this is overdramatic’ kinda way. That’s what makes it funny to us. That overblown stuff we all say in our dark moments can be hilarious once you’ve cooled off a bit. I don’t know if anyone else thinks it’s funny, but sometimes you gotta laugh at yourself.”
As the writing process for Who Will Look After The Dogs continued, each of the songs developed into a chronology of Babcock’s life – first from the perspective of his youthful naïveté, then from the perspective of his bouts of self-loathing, and finally from the perspective of putting himself together.
“There’s a lot of sadness in the back half of the record, but there’s a lot more hope here too,” Babcock said. “I’m just coming to peace with who I am.”
In support of their new album, PUP will also be hitting the road for their EU/UK tour this May with support from Illuminati Hotties and Goo.
