Entrancing electro-pop singer Biig Piig released her stunning debut album, 11:11, on February 7. Fresh off her tour with AURORA, Biig Piig steps into the spotlight with an exploration of fleeting moments, self-discovery, and the ever-shifting tides of identity.
The fluttering first track, “4AM,” connects to the universal feeling of loneliness. Echoed vocals create an ethereal atmosphere, while instrumentals pulse through the track as if you’re escaping into a club from outside. Moving seamlessly between moods and genres, the album captures the push and pull of euphoria and uncertainty.
Through hypnotic beats and shimmering synths, Biig Piig crafts a sonic landscape that feels intimate yet universal, drawing listeners into her world of late-night adventures. Standout track “Favourite Girl” boasts catchy melodies and groovy production you can’t help but dance too. The singer slows down on songs like “One Way Ticket.” Lyrics like “I gotta go and find my peace / or this town’s gonna swallow me up” and “and now that you’re gone / need to find my home” explore what it means to get to know yourself on a deeper level. Finding a “home” within yourself is a powerful concept that inspires listeners to look inward.
“This record is about moments of clarity – those flashes of realization when everything makes sense, even if just for a second. It’s about chasing those moments, losing them, and finding them again. I wanted the album to feel fluid, like a dream you don’t want to wake up from. Every song exists in its own world, but together, they tell a story about love, fear, identity, and learning to trust yourself,” shared Biig Piig in a press release.
The record showcases her signature blend of smooth vocals, genre-blurring production, and introspective lyricism, marking a bold new chapter in her artistry. Biig Piig is set to hit the road later this month. Make sure to catch her live. Tickets are available here.
