Kelsy Karter and The Heroines kick off their U.S. tour in Phoenix

After what felt like a lifetime of anticipation, Kelsy Karter and The Heroines took stage in the U.S. for the first time since visa issues delayed their earlier plans of touring. Their fanbase has been eagerly awaiting this moment, and it was nothing short of magical. Phoenix was the perfect destination for night one of the ‘Lightning In The Bottle’ tour.

Karter’s stage presence was unmatched as she opened the show with the declaration, “We are small but loud.” The phrase—reflecting her own stature and powerful voice—became a recurring theme throughout the night in the intimate concert hall. Despite a few sound hiccups in the beginning, including a brief glitch in the audio system and a couple of awkward pauses, the band powered through with sheer professionalism. It was no secret the band had an extremely close chemistry that allowed them to overcome any obstacle together.

One of the most memorable moments of the night came when Karter jumped into the crowd to start performing. This gave the fans a intimate, down to earth connection with their favorite rock and roll singer. Sharing smiles and making the show feel like a shared experience rather than just a performance, she brought an added level of unpredictability and excitement.

The setlist featured a number of fan favorites as well as newer material from their recent album, Love Made Me Do It, with each song escalating the nights energy. However, the true highlight of the night came at the very end. Fans anticipated this moment the entire show, they persistently were chanting and begging for Karter to play this particular song. Once the band left the stage, they came back out for a encore and fans went wild whenever Karter broke out into poetry, then finishing the poem with the opening lines of “Liquor Store on Mars.” It was the perfect song to close out the show to and made fans leaving with a magical feeling.
