Na-Kel Smith does everything from professional skateboarding to acting and, how I met him, a musical artist. Immediately upon meeting him, I noticed his bright personality. He is just a down-to-earth, chill, and happy dude. While our interaction was brief due to his other interviews that day, I could tell Na-Kel had a great vibe and was a super humble dude.

This transcended to day two during his set when he was the second performer on the GNAW stage. Na-Kel had the Gnaw Stage bumping early and blessed the fans by bringing out MIKE who joined Na-Kel in playing their new song “BEEN HAD.” MIKE then followed that by playing an unreleased track for the audience. In a thirty-minute timeframe, Na-Kel found a way to perform sixteen different songs and more impressively his set flowed extremely smoothly from song to song. I see a packed 2025 for Na-Kel and we’re already starting to see that with him playing VivaPhx last month and now Flog Gnaw.
