November 15, 2024, The Oni, Sierra Pilot, Bad Wolves and Pop Evil rolled into Mars Music Hall in Huntsville and delivered an incredible set.
The Oni opened the night with a brief set, followed by Sierra Pilot. Both bands did an excellent job of getting the crowd pumped for the two main acts.
Bad Wolves delivered a high-octane performance at Mars Music Hall on November 15, 2024, showcasing their blend of hard-hitting metal and melodic hooks. From the moment they hit the stage, the band unleashed a barrage of energy, kicking off with fan-favorite tracks that had the crowd headbanging from the start. Frontman Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz commanded the stage with raw intensity, his vocals effortlessly switching between fierce growls and soaring melodies.
The band’s setlist struck a balance between heavy anthems, like “Killing Me Slowly,” and more emotionally charged songs, like “Remember When,” giving the audience moments to both thrash and reflect. The crushing guitar riffs and thunderous drumming from John Boecklin kept the energy at a fever pitch, while Doc Coyle and Max Karon’s guitar work added layers of complexity to the band’s sound.
By the time they closed the night, Bad Wolves had fully cemented their reputation as one of the most dynamic live acts in modern metal. The band’s tight musicianship and powerful connection with the crowd made for a standout night, leaving Huntsville’s metalheads craving more.

And now, Pop Evil hit the stage wide open to follow the epic performance of the Wolves. From the opening sounds of “Eye of the Storm,” straight into the heavy hit “Trenches,” we were off to a rocking start for the final act. “Paranoid (Crash & Burn)” was next and continued the assault on our senses and hearing! HA!

Leigh Kakaty’s commanding vocals instantly grabbed attention, supported by Dave Grahs and Nick Fuelling’s scorching dual guitars, while Blake Allison’s relentless drumming pushed the pace. Joey “Chicago” Walser on bass added a deep, pulsating backbone to the sound that made the music hit even harder.
“Trenches” followed, a fan favorite that had the crowd roaring with its defiant lyrics and hard-hitting chorus. Kakaty led the charge with impassioned vocals, while the guitars of Grahs and Fuelling cut through with precision, pushing the song’s intensity even higher.
The set was packed with high-energy tracks, including “Paranoid (Crash & Burn),” which brought a darker, more chaotic vibe, and “Deal With the Devil,” which showcased Pop Evil’s knack for delivering punchy, anthemic rock songs. “Let the Chaos Reign” saw the band firing on all cylinders, with Allison’s drumming providing an explosive foundation.
What made the show special was the seamless transition between heavier tracks and more emotionally resonant songs. “Torn to Pieces” brought a somber mood, with Kakaty’s vocals brimming with emotion, while “100 in a 55” offered a more reflective moment, drawing the crowd into its slower tempo and heartfelt lyrics.
“Skeletons” and “Breathe Again” injected fresh energy into the set, with newer material showing the band’s evolution while still maintaining their signature sound. The crowd particularly responded to “Breathe Again,” which has become a standout track for the band with its soaring chorus.
Closing out the main set, “Waking Lions” was a perfect choice, leaving the audience energized and craving more. When the band returned for the encore, they brought the night home with “Footsteps,” a track that has become a defining anthem for Pop Evil. The song’s uplifting message and driving beat left the crowd on a high note, ending the night with a sense of unity and triumph.
