On November 15, 2024, Fort Worth native, Leon Bridges, sold out Dickies Arena. Leon is known for his dedication to the Fort Worth community with his organization, The Big Good, which focuses on inspiring people of all ages with knowledge and skills to create a brighter future. His music resonates with hard work, commitment, and passion. Because of that, the Mayor of Fort Worth, Mattie Parker, presented Leon with an official certification, stating that November 15 is now known as Leon Bridges Day in Panther City.

Fellow Texan, Charley Crockett, opened up Friday night’s show with a stunning performance. His album, $10 Cowboy, just received a Grammy nomination for the Best Americana Album. After watching him perform, he deserves the nomination and more. I was blown away by his stage presence, song writing, and involvement with the crowd. He knew we were there to have a good time, and he gave us just that.

Latin instrumental band Hermanos GutiƩrrez started the night off with a blend of their Ecuadorian-Swiss heritage. Even though the performance itself was not the most entertaining, in my honest opinion, it was made up for by the incredible music talents of these two brothers. Their techniques, along with their synchronization with each other, did captivate the audience in a touching way.
