The Highly Irresponsible Tour is For Lovers

The “Highly Irresponsible” tour kicked off with a phenomenal start. I had the opportunity to attend the first stop on tour at The Orangepeel in Asheville, North Carolina. What makes this tour so special is the hard-core punk and metalcore that is displayed on their album, newly released this year on October 25, called “Highly Irresponsible.”  The beginning of the set showcases their blend of musical styles that are sure to make new fans all across the country this fall. I have never listened to them before, but after seeing the intense stage and talented vocals, I would definitely attend and recommend their shows.

The Highly Irresponsible tour has 29 stops this fall with a well-rounded selection of openers such as Full of Hell, Spy, Cloakroom, and Gouge Away. Some only on select dates, these shows have a band for everyone in the scene.

Better Lovers, from Buffalo, New York, are a hard-core punk band formed in 2023. The members consist of Greg Puciato as the vocalist, Jordan Buckley and Will Putney on guitars, Stephen Micciche on bass, and drummer Clayton Holyoak.

The bands that I got to see before Better Lovers were Spy, Full of Hell, and Cloakroom, which had a very relaxed stage presence. The crowd was chill and loved the music. There was even one couple that was slow dancing when Spy started to play. Later, the crowd began to get rowdy and even opened all the way up for Full of Hell. The crowd was in the pit and screaming along to every song, and by the time Better Lovers came out, the crowd was ready to go. They put on the best show, with the singer even jumping into the crowd.

All of the bands had great energy and amazing stage presence. Everyone put on a show to remember, and the crowd fed off of that energy all night. My favorite thing was the collage of love songs played before they came on stage.

What can we look forward to on the next of their mini stops on the Highly Irresponsible tour this fall? They will certainly keep you thrilled and excited while they play. Be sure to check them and the Orangepeel out this fall. The venue was clean and well managed, with quick interchange and nice staff at the bar. This has been my favorite show this fall.
