On October 5, Greg Freeman joined Merce Lemon at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, New York, to play an intimate show on their fall tour.
Greg, originally from Vermont, is a multifaceted artist that can play a handful of instruments while performing, including an acoustic guitar and a harmonica (all at the same time!). Stereogum describes his music as, “voluminous crescendos (packed in tight with warm, tattered horn blasts) [that] create a shoegaze-like effect.”
Kicking off the show was Carolina Chauffe, musically-known as hemlock. From Louisiana, hemlock is an ongoing folk experiment since 2018 and describes herself as “a heart archive, erring on the side of the earnest, imperfect, and prolific,” with “tender finger-picking and sun-glinted harmonies.”
By the time Greg took the stage, the venue was packed to the brim with folk-fans from all around the city excited to listen to hours of beautiful folk music from three extremely talented artists.
Greg will be playing two more shows with a full band on October 17 in Portland, Maine, and October 19 in Boston, Massachusetts.
