The final night of Wallows’ Model tour, held at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, was extraordinary.

As a hometown show for the indie pop/rock trio, the concert had an excitement and anticipation that heightened every moment, with fans eager to see them close out the tour with a bang.

Touring in support of their latest album, Model, which has become very popular since its release this year, Wallows delivered a performance that was a mix of past hits and new hits. The energy was noticeable when they took the stage, filling the packed house with a mix of screaming enthusiasm (especially from the girls in the crowd) and connection.

Kicking off with fan favorites like “Your Apartment” and “Scrawny,” Wallows wasted no time setting a high bar for the evening and getting the crowd excited.

Each track seemed to trigger excitement, with “At The End of The Day” sending the crowd into a frenzy. The sheer volume of the crowd, particularly the piercing screams of fans enamored with the band, gave the show an intensity that could be felt throughout the arena and even outside. What set this concert apart was the high energy and the brilliant creativity woven into the production. Dylan moved seamlessly across the stage, interacting with every corner of the audience.

Midway through the show, Wallows surprised everyone with an unexpected move; they switched stages to perform an acoustic set on a smaller, more intimate stage in the middle of the crowd and venue. This surprising twist gave the crowd an insane experience, where they could feel even closer to the band during stripped-back versions of their popular songs like “1980’s Horror Film” and “Pictures of Girls.” This creative staging, combined with the dynamic movement of the band throughout the concert, kept the audience completely immersed and pleasantly surprised.

Visually, the show was brilliant. Bright lighting, dynamic color combinations, and a constantly shifting background created an atmosphere that complemented Dylan’s high-energy performance. Each song had its unique visual essence, enhancing the mood.

The thoughtfulness in the set design and lighting choices made every moment feel larger than life, adding to the show’s impressive scale, especially at the concert’s end when confetti shot up everywhere in the massive arena, covering every inch.

As Wallows wrapped up their last U.S. show, the moment’s significance wasn’t lost on anyone in attendance. The band’s ability to blend nostalgic classics with newer tracks off of Model not only showcased their growth but also their unwavering commitment to their roots and their fans. The night was a perfect celebration of their journey so far, and for many, it will be a concert to remember with pride.

Wallows made sure to leave their mark on Los Angeles, closing out their tour on a high note with a performance that was not only loud but unforgettable.
